Applus+ DatapointLabs moves into new, larger laboratories

05/07/2021

The new site is just two miles north of the original, in Ithaca, New York, but has almost three times as much testing space.

The move into the newly renovated, 1602 m2 laboratories went smoothly, accomplished in stages during the month of May to minimize downtime and avoid delays to ongoing projects. The team at Applus+ DatapointLabs, which became a part of Applus+ Laboratories in 2018, is now fully operative in their spacious new facilities, providing their unique material characterization services on their biggest scale yet, having outgrown their previous base.

    Poised for growth

The new site, at 23 Dutch Mill Road, has almost three times as much testing space as the previous, enhancing our material testing capabilities in the present while facilitating growth in the future. There are laboratories dedicated to testing mechanical, creep, thermal and rheological properties, each with newly calibrated machines for impeccable accuracy. The extra space opens the door firmly to future expansion, not just in terms of the testing services already being offered, but brand new services too.

Expert material characterization and data management software

Applus+ DatapointLabs experts provide unique material characterization services for product development, CAE and R&D. They have developed a hugely extensive online catalogue of material tests as well as software solutions, like Matereality, that help companies build easily accessible, enduring data collections that accurately represent the materials used in their products.

While the company’s address has changed, all telephone numbers, email addresses and website addresses remain the same.
