Applus+ Laboratories opens up a brand new laboratory for high voltage (HV) components, dedicated to electrical and environmental tests following the LV123 standard.
This new investment complements our existing EMC capabilities, meaning that we can now carry out full validation programs for HV components.
Applus+ Laboratories continues to invest in its capabilities for testing electric vehicles. The company’s latest investment, a new climatic and electrical testing laboratory, is centred around auxiliary HV components for new propulsion systems.
The new facilities are fully equipped to assess the safety and reliability of HV components in different voltage and temperature ranges, according to the requirements of the main international and OEM standards such as LV123, ISO 21498, VW 80300 or PSA B7112, amongst others.
Electrical and cooling infrastructure to simulate the operation of HV equipment, following safety requirements:
Climatic chambers for HV components:
Auxiliary equipment:
Complete validation of HV components (EMC, Electrical, Climatic and Vibration Testing):
With this new investment, along with its EMC capabilities, Applus+ Laboratories is able to perform complete validation plans for HV components, including vibration testing.
Our laboratories are equipped with all the auxiliary equipment needed for testing at high voltages, and remote monitoring and assistance systems too. Our customers can take part in the setup and monitor the tests from their own offices, eliminating the costs of transporting personnel and equipment.
