Applus+ Laboratories opens its largest global mechanical-testing facility in China

    Shanghai, September 10, 2026 – Applus+ Laboratories has officially opened its new laboratory in Changzhou (China). With more than 12,000 square metres of advanced testing infrastructure, it is the largest mechanical-testing facility in the global Applus+ Laboratories network.

    The new facility represents a major expansion of the company’s capabilities in China and Asia and reinforces its position as a strategic testing and certification partner for medical devices, advanced materials and high-technology industries.

    Located in one of China’s most important industrial and innovation regions, the Changzhou laboratory combines advanced equipment, extensive testing capacity and a highly specialized technical team. It will support customers throughout the product-development cycle, from material characterization and engineering validation to regulatory testing, quality assurance, and market access.

    Advanced materials and components testing

    The Changzhou facility significantly expands Applus+ Laboratories’ capabilities in the testing of composite materials, raw materials, components, and complete structures.
