Hyundai has selected Applus+ Laboratories to become an approved EMC laboratory for the testing of their automotive components

16/03/2020

Applus+ Laboratories has become one of the first EMC laboratories in Europe to achieve this recognition. This will allow customers to use the Applus+ Laboratories’ state-of-the-art EMC facilities in the development of electrical and electronic components, in order to achieve acceptance by the Hyundai Motor Group.

The Hyundai Motor Group has created a new accreditation program for EMC laboratories. Going forward, manufacturers of electrical and electronic components supplying parts to Hyundai and Kia must test their products in a recognised laboratory.

After a rigorous audit and subsequent witness testing, Hyundai has selected Applus+ to be one of a limited number of recognised laboratories in Europe. The new accreditation covers the full scope of the tests specified under the ES 96 200-00 standard of the Korean manufacturer.

European leader in EMC testing recognised by all the automotive brands

With this new recognition, Applus+ Laboratories is one of only a few companies worldwide whose EMC test reports are recognised by all the leading automotive manufacturers in the world.

Our network of EMC laboratories in Europe has the specific recognitions granted by Hyundai, Ford, Jaguar Land Rover, General Motors, and Fiat Chrysler. Furthermore, all of our laboratories have the ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, required by the rest of automotive manufacturers.
