Applus+ Gometrics, part of Applus+ Laboratories since 2025, has obtained accreditation from the Spanish National Accreditation Body (ENAC) for liquid flow calibration, in accordance with the UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard, following the successful audit of its calibration laboratory in Palau-solità i Plegamans (Barcelona).
This new accreditation significantly expands the range of accredited calibration services previously available within the group, enabling us to meet the needs for accuracy, traceability and regulatory compliance in liquid flow measurement across industries such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food, energy and automotive.
The accredited scope covers the calibration of liquid flowmeters from 17 kg/h to 45,000 kg/h in the permanent laboratory, with measurement capability of up to 100,000 kg/h for on-site calibrations at customer facilities. The service covers nominal diameters from DN08 to DN150, with an uncertainty of 0.3%.
The lower limit of the range, starting at just 17 kg/h, is particularly relevant for dosing and low-flow applications, common in the pharmaceutical sector and in high-precision industrial processes, a segment that had not previously been covered by the group’s accredited services.
