Applus+ Laboratories has entered into a collaboration agreement with Pitlane Network, organiser of the Eco Rallye Catalunya, to independently verify and certify the event's carbon footprint. This partnership further strengthens both organisations' commitment to sustainability and environmental transparency.
As part of the agreement, Applus+ Laboratories will provide its expertise in independent verification to validate the CO₂ emissions generated by the rally. The project will deliver reliable and objective data on the event's environmental impact, establish an emissions baseline, and support the development of future reduction and offsetting initiatives.

Beyond emissions verification, the initiative also includes the creation of a carbon offsetting and reforestation area in Vic. This project is intended to help mitigate the environmental impact of the competition while contributing to the restoration and enhancement of the local ecosystem.
The Eco Rallye Catalunya will take place on 21 November, covering almost 300 kilometres across roads and natural landscapes throughout Catalonia, with the event starting from the Recinte Firal El Sucre exhibition centre in Vic.
