Applus+ Laboratories consolidates its expansion in China

    Applus+ Laboratories obteins two new chinese acreditations (CNAS and CMA) and opens a new consumer products laboratory in Shanghai.

    Applus+ Laboratories has extended its testing capabilities in Shanghai with a new laboratory focused on consumer products.Additionally, , Applus+ has obtained two new accreditations (CNAS and CMA) for its materials laboratory, which is dedicated to industrial products.

    This new consumer testing laboratory offers chemical, physical, and electrical safety testing services to global retailers that buy or produce consumer goods in China for their subsequent international distribution.

    Alongside this, the Shanghai materials laboratory, which is dedicated to quality control for industrial products and equipment goods, has also obtained the two main Chinese accreditations: CNAS and CMA.

    The CNAS accreditation (ISO 17025) guarantees that the laboratory is competent in testing products manufactured in China and destined for the global market.

    The CMA accreditation is a requirement for the evaluation and approval of products destined for the Chinese domestic market.

    These two new accreditations are awarded by Chinese authorities and represent the formal recognition of Applus+ as a third party laboratory. 

    Applus+ currently has 5,000 square meters of facilities dedicated to testing laboratories in Shanghai, as well as a network of inspectors and offices distributed throughout China's main industrial and logistical zones.
