Applus+ sponsors the XIII STIC CCN-CERT Conference, the main cybersecurity event in Spain

24/12/2019

The conference took place on the 11th and 12th of December, with more than 3,300 attendees, and was inaugurated by the Defence Minister in functions, Margarita Robles, who is also in charge of the policies in External Affairs, European Union and Cooperation. The Applus+ Laboratories division took part as one of the sponsors of the conference.

The division provides services to evaluate TIC products under certification schemes such as Common Criteria and LINCE, which are key for TIC security product providers in order to be included in the CCN-CERT STIC Catalogue.

The division also provides services in management systems certification such as ISO 27001 and it is one of the few accredited entities able to audit and certify that companies comply with the requisites with the Spanish National Security Scheme (ENS).

Advantages of implementing and certifying a National Security Scheme system

The main advantage for a company that gets certify in ENS is compliance with current legislation. Royal Decree 3/2010 states that systems of the Public Administration and those of its providers in the private sector that take part in providing technological solutions or provide services to the Administration must certify their systems according to the ENS.

On the other hand, with the certification, companies can create the necessary trust conditions in the use of the electronic mediums, guaranteeing their independence regarding the compliance and the level of security acquired with the certificate. This grants a security homogeny and sustains the trust that the audited system deserves through a continuous security treatment.
