Furthermore, the highly corrosion-resistant nickel-base alloy is used for ranges of applications in nuclear engineering as far as the rules of nuclear engineering or the object-related specifications permit the use of - 196 to 450 °C. The material is resistant to intercrystalline corrosion. With observing the generally acknowledged rules of technology, the suitability of welding of this material is approved for metal-arc welding with sheathed stick electrodes (type NiCr23Mo16Cu, 2.4699) or gas-shielded arc welding with welding wires and welding rods (type NiCr23Mo16Cu, 2.4698). The following is valid for the material according to DIN 17744 : 2002-09 : the material is applied in the form of strips, sheets, tubes, bars, wires and forgings for corrosion-resistant construction components.
