The material shows high resistance to corrosion and heat, favorable sliding qualities as well as a high thermal expansion coefficient. This austenitic cast iron material is nonmagnetizable at low Cr-content. Increased heat resistance by addition of 1% molybdenum (mass content). Application: pumps, valves, compressors, liner, turbocharger cases, exhaust manifolds, nonmagnetizable cast parts. I can be used for pressure equipment, e.g. compressor housings. The appropriate materials for pressure applications and the conditions of use are specified in special product standards or application standards. For the structuring of pressure equipment special construction guidelines applies. |
