It shows enhanced heat resistance, favorable sliding qualities as well as a high thermal expansion coefficient. This austenitic cast iron material (graphite form: lamellar) is nonmagnetizable at low Cr-content. The material (international trading name: Ni-Resist 1) is comparable to UNS F 41000 (USA). Application: pumps, valves, furnace construction parts, liner, piston rings, for unmagnetizable cast parts. I can be used for pressure equipment, e.g. compressor housings. The appropriate materials for pressure applications and the conditions of use are specified in special product standards or application standards. For the structuring of pressure equipment special construction guidelines applies. |
