Increased corrosion resistance owing to the high Mo-content, especially to non oxidizing acids and halogenated media. Application in chemical apparatus engineering preferentially for textile, sulfite, cellulose, fatty acid, rubber and color industry. The steel has an increased resistance to intercrystalline corrosion also in sensitized condition. This material is unsuitable for mirror finishing. Application temperature: -200 to 550 °C (for comparable DIN-make). X6CrNiMoTi17-12-2 is used in construction engineering due to its very high corrosion resistance and strength.
