1) Remark: CuMn12NiAl is a resistance alloy. With wire, the attainable tensile strength is 400 N/mm². The alloy especially distinguishes itself by a small temperature coefficient of the electric resistance and a small thermal force against copper. The upper application temperature in air is 500 °C. CuMn12NiAl is susceptible to stress cracking corrosion and, therefore, has to be protected against harmful atmospheric influences. The alloy can be welded and brazed, yet the suitability for soft soldering is only limited. Application: Electric resistors of any kind.
