In comparison to the unalloyed titanium, it distinguishes itself by an extended resistance to corrosion because of the nickel and molybdenum content. The material shows particularly high resistance to oxidizing mediums, yet, especially with regard to the behaviour in reducing mediums, the material does not achieve the corrosion-resistance of the palladium-alloyed titanium grades.
