The alloy is used for sheet metal, strip, plates and as wire resp. prewire for mechanical applications. It is food-safe. To the comparable mark Al99,9Mg0,5, material No. 3.3308, acc. to DIN1725-1 : 1983-02 applies: The alloy Al99,9Mg0,5 pertains to standardized bright materials. It is able to be chemical or electrolytic high-polished after mechanical polish. There necessarily has to be a following anodizing, if the high-polished surface should be appropriate applicated. The intensity of the directional reflection (gloss level) depends on cleanliness of the alloy and thickness of the obtained anodizing layer. The alloy Al99,9Mg0,5 is naturally hard, i.e. a strength increase can only be achieved by cold forming. The material is ideal for cold and warm forming. It is highly resistant to corrosion and well anodic oxidizable. Application: for metal goods, such as building hardware, harness, extruded parts, reflectors, car trim strip and parts and for jewelry and jeweler goods. |
