1) Remark: The high strength thermo mechanical rolled hot-strip steel S695MC has a min. yield point of 695 N/mm². It has an extremely fine microstructure due to its exclusive chemical composition and its special manufacturing method. That causes combined with the coordinated structure contents of ferrite, bainite, martensite and precipitation hardening a particularly attractive property combination of high strength, favorable cold forming property and weldability. The steel is suitable for application of surface coatings (e.g. galvanizing). The steel is characterized by strong solidifications already at low deformation amounts. Suitability for welding according to all usual welding methods. Preheating is usually not necessary. The rod diameter for folding amounts to 3.0xthickness for an bending angle of 180°. Application: production of cold formed components in vehicle construction e.g. door impact carrier, shock absorber, chassis parts, body trussing, profiles etc.. The steel is delivered as hot wide strip, slit strip and sheet with cut edges and thicknesses of 1.5 to 3.0 mm.
