1) Remark: According to DIN EN 10295 : 2003-01, the highest application temperature in air is 1050 °C for the material GX40CrSi24, material number 1.4745 (the former G-X 40 CrSi 23 according to DIN 17465 : 1977-09). The following is valid for the comparable DIN-material: Application predominantly in the furnace construction, for pipe mountings, pipe brackets and pipe bearings in the steam boiler construction, furthermore for long-range jet nozzles, annealing drums, agitator arms and rolled beams. As a material with a good wear resistance for guard plates and guard rings, segments and similar parts in the cement industry. Durability: - with an oxidizing combustion atmosphere: 1050 °C, - with a reducing combustion atmosphere: 1000 °C, - with oxidizing gases containing sulphur: 1050 °C, - with reducing gases containing sulphur: 980 °C.
