1) Remark: Material EN AW-Al SiMg(A) is produced for extruded parts and for drawn components. The food-safe alloy is used for forged parts and prematerial. To the comparable mark AlMgSi0,7, mat. No.3.3210, acc. to DIN 1725-1 applies: This natural and artificial agable material achieves strength values of 200 to 250 MPa at A5- ductile yield of approx. 10 %. Heat-treatment for hardening: solution annealing: 525 to 540°C, quenching in air or water natural aging: 5 to 8 d at RT artificial aging: 4 to 16 h at 155 to 190°C In natural or artificial aged condition the alloy is only limited formable but in soft material condition it is well formable. It shows a favorable weldability, corrosion resistance and anodizability. This alloy is more often used for riveted joints or screwed connections due to strength loss in weld seam sector. Application: In vehicle manufacturing for vehicle floors, platform gates, scaffolds, commercial-vehicle bodies, trim strip, trim parts. In construction trade for windows, doors, window walls, showers, fences. In rail vehicle construction for wagon bodies, in shipbuilding, in machine engineering (incl. mold making) and for metal goods (e.g. fittings, harness, extrusion parts, reflectors).
