1) Remark: The heat-treatable nitriding steel 31CrMoV9 is applicated for hot steam fitting components, valve spindles, crankshaft and similarly loaded wear parts up to a dimension of 100 mm. The steels contains nitriding agents (Cr) which contribute by the nitriding resp. nitrocarburization process with N resp. N and C to an increase of - case hardness - wear resistance - fatigue resistance and - corrosion resistance. Application for forged components: hardened, mechanically machined and thermochemical treated (e.g. nitriding)
