1) Remark: Free-cutting steel 11SMnPb37 is not intended for heat-treatment and is one of the maximum demand free cutting steels due to its excellent machinability properties. Reduced ductility properties and increased cracking risk due to the higher S-content have to be considered. 11SMnPb37 shows compared to 11SMn37 higher parameter. Application for bulk parts in car industry, apparatus and equipment engineering.
