1) Remark: Free cutting steel 11SMnPb37 is not intended for heat-treatment and is one of the maximum demand free cutting steels due to its excellent machinability properties. Reduced ductility properties and increased cracking risk due to the higher S-content have to be considered. 11SMnPb37 shows compared to 11SMn37 higher parameter. Application for bulk parts in car industry, apparatus and equipment engineering. As bright steel product it is used in the form of bars, bright, straight, in various conditions (see DIN EN 10277 : 1999-10).
