1) Remark: Free-cutting steel 10S20, suitable for case-hardening, shows considerably uniformer properties of the cross-section and within the melt than older semi-killed free cutting steels. Compared to 15 S 10 (DIN 1651: 1988-04) shows 10S20 a slightly enhanced machinability at relatively favorable ductility properties. Application for thin-walled case hardened parts in car industry, in apparatus, equipment and machine engineering.
