It is at room temperature resistant to sulphuric acid of every concentration, still good resistance at higher temperatures. It is resitant to intercrystalline corrosion both in delivery and welded condition. Its limit temperature (operating time up to 100000 h, no intercrystalline corrosion) amounts to 400 °C. Application in dyeing industry (color fleet vessels), synthetic fibre industry (spinning bath container), in pickling department (pickling crades, coating of pickling bath) and for many applications in chemical industry. The steel is cold formable. Unsuitable for mirror finishing owing to niobium-addition. | -10 - 400 |
