High hardness and strength can only be reached by cold forming. Strength values between F30 and F51. Heat and electrical conductivity lower compared to lead-free brass of the same Zn content. Addition of Pb improve the machinability. Corrosion resistance to water, different salt solutions and organic liquids is lower compared to lead-free alloys with the same content of Zn. Processing properties: Hot forming: good Cold forming: good Machinability: good Brazing: medium Soldering: very well TIG-welding: medium Polishability: very well Application: high precision extruded sections, parts for clocks, pressure parts |
