1) Remark: X30WCrV9-3 is an alloyed hot worked tool steel. In the hardened and tempered condition, it reaches a minimum of 48 HRC. Use: thermically stressed tools for the processing of heavy metal through extrusion, such as dies, bridge dies, die holders and piercers, such as punch heads in vertical presses partly swage-pressed parts in heavy metal processing. Water cooling is not possible.
