1) Remark: The nitrogen-alloyed austenitic special high-grade steel X2CrNiMnMoNbN25-18-5-4 (new name: X2CrNiMnMoNbN25-18-5-4), material number 1.4565 is applicated for pressure vessels acc. to TRB 100 and AD-data sheets W 2 and W 10 from -196 to 400 °C. under full loading, for steam boilers acc. to TRD 101 up to 400 °C. as well as for pressure gas tanks as per TRG 200 ff. from -196 to 400 °C. The material is furthermore suitable for application in nuclear power engineering as far as nuclear rules or object-related specifications allow use from -196 °C. to 400 °C. The welding suitability of the material is examined allowing for general engineering rules for metal arc welding with covered rod electrodes and for gas-shielded welding. Suitability tested welding additives have to be used. Heat treatment is not necessary after welding at product thicknesses of up to 40 mm. To the material acc. to SEW 400 : 1997-02 applies:The high alloyed steel shows very high strength and corrosion resistance in chloride containing media, in acids, mixed acids and contaminated aggressive media. It does not show the same good corrosion properties as 1.4505 (X4NiCrMoCuNb20-18-2) in sulphuric and nitric acid. Resistance to intercrystalline corrosion both in delivery and welded condition. Its limit temperature amounts to 450 °C (operating time up to 100000 h, no intercrystalline corrosion). Application in environmental engineering, for compressors and agitators, in offshore technology (seawater desalination), for crude oil conveyance, in paper and cellulose industry facilities.
