1) Remark: Material X 1 NiCrMoCu 25 20 5 (X1NiCrMoCu25-20-5), material number 1.4539 is applicated for pressure vessels acc. to TRB 100 and AD-data sheet W 2 and W 10 from -60 to 400 °C., for steam boilers acc. to TRD 101, TRD 102 and TRD 107 up to 400 °C. as well as for pressure gas tanks as per TRG from -60 to 400 °C. Further application in nuclear power engineering as far as nuclear regulations or object-related specifications permit use from -60 to 400 °C. The welding suitability is examined allowing for generally accepted engineering rules for arc welding, TIG-welding, submerged and plasma welding. Preheating is not necessary, intermediate temperature should not exceed 100 °C. Heat treatment after welding is only in special cases (particular corrosion load) necessary (solution annealing and quenching). This material is cold and warm formable and resistant to intercrystalline corrosion in delivery and welded condition without heat treatment up to 400 °C. To the material acc. to DIN EN 10088-1 : 1995-08 applies: Material X1NiCrMoCu25-20-5 is comparable to X 1 NiCrMoCuN 25 20 5 acc. to SEW 400 : 1991-02. It is an austenitic steel with high resistance to strongly attacking organic and inorganic acids, with high resistance to pitting corrosion and wide resistance to stress corrosion. It shows the second best pitting index of all steels after 1.4529 (functional sum 39). The material is resistant to intercrystalline corrosion also in welded condition. Application in chemical and petrochemical industry, for flue gas desulfurizing plants, in cellulose and paper industry as well as for smokestack linings.
