3.7110 (DIN 17864 : 1993-02) TiAl5Fe2,5 3.7110 DIN 17864 : 1993-02 DIN 17864 : 1993-02 replaced by DIN 17864 : 2012-03 Replaced Germany TiAl5Fe2,5 2.3 1)
1) Remark: Chemical composition: DIN 17851 With smaller cross sections, the alpha + beta alloy TiAl5Fe2.5 is hardenable up to 1300 N/mm^2. There are acceptable high temperature tensile strengths and creep strengths up to approximately 450 °C. The material shows excellent corrosion-resistance especially to oxidizing mediums. Application: Because of its compatibility to tissue, TiAl5Fe2.5 is applied as implant alloy in the medical technology, e.g. for hip and joint prostheses.
