Material Description

Material Number Material Name Material Number (single) Standard Scope Standard Status Country VDA 231-106 classification
SFeP70 (DIN 30910-5 : 1990-10) S Fe P 70 SFeP70 DIN 30910-5 : 1990-10 DIN 30910-5 : 1990-10 replaced by DIN EN 10331 : 2003-09 Replaced Germany 1.1 1)
1) Remark: The magnetically soft sintered iron S Fe P 70 is predominantly used for molded parts with magnetically soft properties. The material possesses the following properties (represantative examples, standard values) which must not be taken as guaranteed properties by law and which refer to a certain density and a certain chemical composition within the permissible range: - density [g/cm^3] : 7.3 - porosity P [%]: 5 - coercitive field strength Hc [A/m] : 70 (values from static hyteresis grinding [ring samples] maximum field strength 13.5 kA/m. Suitable for the overlapping arrangement of magnetig rings [see also DIN 30911-7]) - magnetic induction B [T] at Hc 50 A/m : 1.2 (B0.5) at Hc 5000 A/m : 1.45 (B5) - hardness HB: 105 - specific electrical resistance [µOhm*m] : 0.17 - chemical composition [mass-%]: P: 0.45%, others: < 0.5 %, Fe: rest.
