1) Remark: The material NiCr29Fe with the material number 2.4642 is applied in the form of strips, sheets, tubes, bars, wires for power plant parts and chemistry applications. The alloy possesses an excellent resistance to lye-induced stress cracking corrosion as well as very high resistance to strongly oxidizing mediums including fluoride-polluted hot nitric acid and to very high temperatures in oxidizing atmospheres containing sulphur. Application for the recycling of nuclear fuels, for steam generators in nuclear power stations as well as for steam generators in pressurized water reactors, for plants for the production of sodium sulfate (Mannheim-furnace) and for components of furnaces that are fired with heavy fuel.
