1) Remark: The iron alloy with special thermal expansion NiCo 29 18, material number 1.3981, is used for compounds of metal and glass, for example for fusions with hardened glass, for the bottom of TO casings, etched moulded parts, X-ray tubes, or for carriers. The break point temperature (temperature at which a break point in the expansion-temperature-curve occurs) is 425 degrees C. The material has low thermal expansion at 400 degrees C. The cupping index at 1 mm thickness is 9.5 mm.
