1) Remark: According to DIN EN 10295 : 2003-01, the highest temperature in air is 1100 °C for the material GX40NiCrSi38-19, material number 1.4865 (the former G-X 40 NiCrSi 38 18). The following is valid for the comparable austenitic DIN-material: Application for parts that are subjected to the highest mechanical stress and that have to endure precipitous variations of temperature, such as e.g. grates. In this connection, the extraordinarily high nickel addition is the most important factor for the high temperature tensile strength and reduces the cracking under alternating heat stress. Durability: - with an oxidizing combustion atmosphere: 1100 °C, - with a reducing combustion atmosphere: 1070 °C, - with oxidizing gases containing sulphur: 1070 °C, - with reducing gases containing sulphur: 1000 °C.
