1) Remark: According to DIN EN 10295 : 2003-01, the highest application temperature in air is 850 °C for the material GX40CrSi13, material number 1.4729 (the former G-X 40 CrSi 13 according to DIN 17465 : 1977-09). The following is valid for the comparable DIN-material: Application mainly for hearth plates, door framings and other furnace parts that are not much subjected to mechanical stress, furthermore burner nozzles, burner casings, slide shoes and slide bars, transport rolls etc. Durability: - with an oxidizing combustion atmosphere: 900 °C, - with a reducing combustion atmosphere: 850 °C, - with oxidizing gases containing sulphur: 900 °C, - with reducing gases containing sulphur: 850 °C.
