1) Remark: The cast material 1.4313 is listed in the invalid standard DIN 17445. In the Stahl-Eisen Liste 1999 he is listed only as wrought material (X3CrNiMo13-4). The given material G-X 5 CrNi 13 4 can understand as casted type of the above mentioned steels. The welding suitability of the steel cast is examined allowing for the generally accepted engineering rules for TIG welding (mainly root run), metal arc welding and submerged arc welding. After the cooling the component have to be cooled down under 80 deg, before an succeeding quenching and tempering, tempering (double) or stress relieve annealing. The strength will be decreased after an double-tempering. The cooling rate after the tempering shouldnt exceed 80 K/h until below 300 deg. At the production welding on thin-walled components the preheating and the tempering or stress relieve annealing can be waived if an appropriate proof by process test exist. Application: According VdTÜV-Wbl 452 : 1999-03 the material is applicated for pressure vessels as per TRB 100 and AD-material data sheets W 5 and W 10 for long-time service at a temperature range from -60 to 300 °C (short-time service until 20000 h at 350 °C at full load), for blade wheels, stators for pumps, compressors and turbines as well as pump housings and machine parts in hydraulic devices from -60 to 300 °C for long-time service (short-time service until 20000 h at 350 °C at full load). Individual resp. additional expertises are required as far as this is stated in nuclear regulations or object-related specifications. Further application in nuclear engineering as far as nuclear regulations resp. object-related specifications permit using from -60 to 300 °C. (short-time service until 20000 h at 350 °C at full load).
