Material Description

Material Number Material Name Standard Standard Status Country VDA 231-106 classification Application temperature [°C]
CoCr26Ni14Mo G-CoCr26Ni14Mo Werkstofftabellen der Metalle, A. Kröner Verlag Stuttgart 2000 Valid Germany 4.2 ≤ 1150 1)
1) Remark: The highly creep-resistant material G-CoCr26Ni14Mo is produced in the delivery forms casting. It is resistant in oxidizing and reducing atmospheres. The material is of limited weldability. The material is to be welded by using the shielding gas method with welding filler materials that are identical with the base metal. Subsequently, solution annealing and age-hardening (arc welding [stick electrode] and resistance welding of thin metal sheets is possible). Resistant against high-temperature corrosion (sulfidation). The resistance against oxidation is lower than that of nickel alloys. The material is applied for construction components for the furnace construction, the chemical and petrochemical industry, gas turbines and jet engine construction components with a high demand on the high temperature tensile strength, such as blades, flame tubes, combustion chambers, afterburners, inlet nozzles, discs, rings, high-temperature valves and springs.
