1) Remark: Material EN-GJMW-400-5 is a white malleable cast iron which is used for exhaust manifolds, agricultural-machinery parts, tube shapes, clutch members (coupling jaws), transmission casings, bicycle parts as well as for steering gear cases. Malleable iron can be used for pressure equipment, e.g. fittings (with thread, with clamp joint) for compressed-air, water (hot and cold), oil, steam, gas as well as for industry fittings (housings, covers, upper parts) and diaphragm valves. The appropriate materials for pressure applications and the conditions of use are specified in special product standards or application standards. For the design of pressure equipment special construction guidelines applies.
