1) Remark: The not food-safe material EN AW-Al Zn1 is produced for sheet metal, strip and plates,as prematerial for heat exchanger (Finstock). To the comparable mark AlZn1, material No. 3.4415, acc. to DIN 1725-1 :1983-02 applies: A strength increase is achieved only by cold forming not by controlled heat treatment. AlZn1 is predominantly used as cladding material due to its high corrosion resistance. The alloy is well hot and cold formable, resp. weldable but it has not such a high machinability. It has a relatively well thermal and electrical conductivity, the achievable strength values are low. Application: sacrificial anode for heat exchanger, as corrosion protection for high-strength sheet metal (cladding by rolling).
