1) Remark: The soft unalloyed steel DX51D for cold forming (machine folding grade) is produced as: - DX51D+Z (plating Zn) and DX51D+ZF (plating Zn-Fe-alloy). The Zn-coating (double-sided) accounts for 100, 140, 200, (225), 275, 350, (400), (650) g/m², different plating thicknesses per side can be agreed. - DX51D+AS (plating aluminium-silicon). The aluminium-silicon coating (double-sided) amounts to 60, 80, 100, 120, 150 g/m². Heat resistance of the AlSi-coating is warranted up to 700°C. - DX51D+ZA (plating zinc-aluminium, approx. 95% Zn and 5% Al). The ZnAl-coating (double-sided) amounts 95, 130, 185, 200, 255 and 300 g/m². Endurance thermal loading of the ZnAl-coating from 200 to 230 °C is possible. Advantages compared to hot galvanized coatings: - higher corrosion protection - excellent deformation behaviour - low cracking susceptibility of the coating Coat thickness has to be considered for weldability and reformability demands. The material is suitable for the pruduction of simple profile forms and deformations where the deformation speed makes only low demands on the materials. Mechanical properties are warranted for aperiod of 8 days after provision of the products. To freedom from stretcher strains (surface types B and C) applies a priod of 1 month. The steel of the above mentioned surface types is suitable for application of organic coatings. Application: household appliances industry, construction trade, electrical industry, furniture industry, car industry.
