Material Description

Material Number Material Name Material Number (single) Standard Standard Status Country VDA 231-106 classification
1.0338 (DIN EN 10271 : 1998-12) DC04+ZN 1.0338 DIN EN 10271 : 1998-12 Valid Germany 1.1.1 1)
1) Remark: The soft, unalloyed steel DC04+ZN with eletrolytically refined surface (zinc-nickel) acc. to DIN EN 10271 is suitable for cold forming of highly complex profile forms and construction elements, especially for high deformation speed (transfer pressing). The zinc-nickel coatings are firmly adhering even on forming. They can be applied one-sided or on both sides. For double sided ZnNi-coatings is a difference refinement possible. The coating thicknesses account for 2 to 6 µm (z.B. ZN 20/20 oder ZN 60/60). For freedom of stretcher strains applies a term of 6 months after provision of the products. Processing of the steel within 6 months is recommended. Surface protection of the ZnNi-coating has to be agreed on ordering. Sheet and band is usually oiled (0) delivered. Mandrel`s diameter for technological bend test (bending angle = 180°) amounts to 0. Application: -car industry (outer skin parts, doors, accessories) -household appliances (casing parts, covers etc.) -office furniture (cupboards, racks, accessory parts) -appliance industry (switch cabinets, casings, facings) -construction industry (doors, gates, facing elements)
