1) Remark: CuSn7Zn4Pb7-C, mat. No. CC493K (former G-CuSn7ZnPb, mat. No. 2.1090 acc. to DIN 1705), is a medium-hard friction-bearing material with favorable emergency running properties as well as high seawater resistance. The material is splendidly suitable for friction-bearing shells in general machine engineering (peak demands of p up to 4000 N/cm² permissible), for axle bearing shells and coupling rod bearings, for mean loaded sliding plates and strips, for normally and highly loaded friction-bearing bushings and shells, for using of shafts made of untempered construction steels as well as of surface tempered steels, also for slight edge pressures. For piston pin bushings applicable at p up to 4000 N/cm², for crank and knee-lever bearings with peak demands of p up to 3000 N/cm². For ship-shaft coverings and cylinder insert bushings, medium up to highly loaded sliding strips and adjustment gibs for machine tools, mean loaded coupling parts, friction rings and discs. Processing properties: machinability: very good soft soldering: good hard soldering: conditionally gas fusion welding: bad gas shielded welding: bad burnishing (mech.): good galvanizing: good suitability for dip tinning: good (material specification applies for G-CuSn7ZnPb acc. to DIN)
