1) Remark: CuNi44 (CuNi44Mn1 according to DIN 17664-83) shows good strength parameters under continuous stress and at high temperatures, too. The attainable strength is F45. The thermal conductivity of the copper is greatly reduced by nickel, and the electric resistance greatly rises with the nickel content. The alloy has high electric resistance, a small temperature coefficient of the electric resistance and a high thermoelectric potential against copper. With wire, the attainable strength is 600 N/mm². The upper application temperature in air is 600 °C. Application: For precision resistors, measuring resistors, series resistors, slide resistors and shunt resistors.
