1) Remark: CuNi1,5Si belongs to the hardenable, low-alloy copper alloys. Except a good electrical and thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance. CuNi1,5Si possesses a high fatigue and creep strength and good spring characteristics. Strength grade lie between F40 and F60. In the hardened condition CuNi1,5Si is insensitive to stress corrosion. The destabilization temperature is approx. 450 °C. Within the very low-temperature range the strength continues to rise still. Manufacturing properties: warm and cold forming: well machinability: means soft soldering: well braze welding: means gas-schielded arc welding: means polishing bar: well Application: Particularly as overhead line material such as clamps, latches, nuts, high-strength and corrosion resistant screws. Wires rope in the electrical building of overhead lines, bushes, antifriction bearing cages, valve guide sockets, springs.
