1) Remark: CuCr1-C, mat. No CC140C (former G-CuCr F35, mat. No. 2.1292 acc. to DIN 17655) is a hard and solid copper alloy with high wear resistance. The material shows favorable flow characteristics but it is wall-thickness and cracking senstive. Its conductivity is lower than for pure copper. The material is corrosion resp. tempering resistant up to 350°C. processing properties: castability: good machinability: conditionally soft soldering: conditionally hard soldering. conditionally gas fusion welding: conditionally gas-shielded welding: conditionally resistance welding: good burnishing: good galvanizing: good suitability for dip tinning: good (material specification applies for G-CuCr F35 acc. to DIN) Application: in electrical industry for live parts e.g. in switcher construction requiring high wear resistance and favorable electrical conductivity. Production examples: contacts, clamps, couplings, disconnecting contacts, electric arc horns, elctrode fastener etc.
