1) Remark: CuCd1 belongs to the low-alloy, not-hardenable alloys. A strength increase can be reached only by cold shaping. A higher solidification is reached by additive of cadmium during the cold forming. Strength grade properties lie between F34 and F40. The electrical conductivity is high. The destabilization temperature is approx. 350 °C. Manufacturing properties: warm forming: well cold forming: very well machinability: means hard and soft soldering: well gas-schielded arc welding: very well polishing bar: very well Application: For energized overhead lines of large span, more highly stressed contact wires, large collector lamellas, telephone overhead lines, staple parts for electro-technology, electrodes for resistance welding.
