1) Remark: CuAl10Fe3Mn2 (earlier CuAl10Fe) is a high strength wrought alloy, also at increased temperatures. The strength properties of the cold formable alloy are mainly influenced by the strain rate. The tensile strength, the yield strength and the hardness will increase and the elongation decrease with increasing cold forming rate. An strength between F60 and F70 is reachable. The electric conductivity and the heat conductivity of this grade decrease with increasing Al-content. CuAl5 is corrosion resistant to sea water, potash solution and mineral acids. CuAl10Fe3Mn2 has a high heat-resistance up to about 300 degrees C and a high fatigue strength, also under corrosion stress. The material is resistant to scaling, has a high wear resistance, a high corrosion resistance to salt water, sulphite lye and mineral acids. Processing properties: Hot forming: good Cold forming: poor Cutting: mid Brazing: mid Soft soldering: poor Gas-shielded welding: good Polishing: good Application: CuAl10Fe3Mn2 is a material for construction purpose for chemical apparatus engineering. Also especially applicable for shock loaded, vibration loaded or wear loaded parts in the engine and gearbox engineering, for scale resistant parts, bolts, high strength screws and nuts, shafts, spindles, worm gears, toothed wheels, wheel rims, controller parts in the hydraulic as well as for bearing and slide elements.
