1) Remark: CuAl10Fe2-C, mat. No. CC331G (former G-CuAl10Fe, mat. No. 2.0940 acc. to DIN 1714) is a construction material with low temperature dependence between -200°C and +200°C. It shows high corrosion resistance to cold seawater, industrial sewages, acids, salts and alkali, except for ammonia. The material has favorable abrasion resistance, sufficient stocking properties for moderate strain and good lubrication. CuAl10Fe2-C is well castable and shows low cracking sensitivity. Processing properties: castability: good machinability: conditionally soft soldering: unfavorable hard soldering: conditionally gas fusion welding: unfavorable arc welding: conditionally gas-shielded welding: good burnishing (mech.): good (Material specification applies for G-CuAl10Fe acc. to DIN) Application: The cast material is used for mechanically loaded parts such as lever, casings, bushings, carbon carrier in electrical industry, fittings in furniture industry, pinions and bevel wheels, synchronizing disks, switching segments and shift-forks, in textile machine and car manufacturing, in shipbuilding, in food industry, in chemical industry as well as for application of acid-resistant instruments.
