1) Remark: C90U is a water hardening (chill hardening) tool steel. It achieves in hardened condition at least 60 HRC at an effective hardening depth of approx. 3 mm. The steel shows good toughness. Application : Big shearing blades, simple die plates and blanking punches, deburring tools, mower knives, wood saws and cutter, dredger bucket knives, wear plates for comminutor industry.
