Further application in nuclear power engineering. The material shows high pitting and crevice corrosion resistance (more favorable properties than 1.4436) as well as stress corrosion resistance, highest general resistance in many organic acids with high concentration and temperature, e.g. in nonoxidizing acids and chloride containing media (seawater, hypochloride base), also in inorganic and mixed acids as well as resistance to intercrystalline corrosion also in sensitized condition. Application in reactor industry, offshore technology, chemical industry.
