Among the malleable cast iron materials, the EN-GJMW-360-12 has the best weldability. Application for valve casings, agricultural-machinery parts, exhaust manifolds, axle links and wheel carrier. Malleable iron can be used for pressure equipment, e.g. fittings (with thread, with clamp joint) for compressed-air, water (hot and cold), oil, steam, gas as well as for industry fittings (housings, covers, upper parts) and diaphragm valves. The appropriate materials for pressure applications and the conditions of use are specified in special product standards or application standards. For the design of pressure equipment special construction guidelines applies.
