1) Remark: CuZn38Mn1Al (CW716R former CuZn37Al1) is an unhardenable copper alloy. High hardness and strength parameter are achievable by cold forming only. Strength properties, corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance are increasable by Al-addition. CuZn37Mn1Al is favorable weathering resistant. Processing properties: warm forming: good cold forming: moderately machinability: moderately hard soldering: moderately soft soldering: moderately TIG-welding: good burnishing: very good The material is predominantly used for friction bearings and elements.
